15 keys to have Good Relationships

Relationships are an important part of our life in fact the most important part . It is in relationship that we get to express love, happiness,  joy and other beautiful feelings. But now days relationships have become painful and we feel suffocated in them. The condition has become very critical and most of us don’t see an end to this . But there must be a solution to this challenge. So here are a few keys to bring harmony in relationships;

      1) Love Unconditionally
Don’t be selfish in relationships , don’t love other’s for selfish reason and don’t put conditions on your love. Learn to love unconditionally, just like a mother loves her child .

      2)   Communicate well
A lot of disharmony in relationships is just because of bad communication. Always seek first to understand and then seek to be understood . Listen not just the word’s but the feelings as well. Empathize with other's if you want long lasting relationships.

      3)   Forgive and Forget
Let go off the past hurt , pain, resentment etc. Be easy to forgive and to forget. Don't let your past to ruin your present and future.

      4)   Don’t  Judge
Just don’t put tag’s on other people for example 'they are like this only' or 'they can’t change' or    'they always do this to me' etc etc. Always remember that people change , do give them a chance.

      5)   Remember the Golden Rule
Don’t do to other’s what you don’t want other’s to do to you . And do to them what you want them to do to you. This simple rule can bring a lot of harmony in relationships.

      6)   Be Flexible
A lot of times relationships don’t work because people are not ready to adjust. Be flexible and be ready to adjust if you want to bring harmony in the relationships.

      7)   Be genuinely interested
For wonderful relationships be as enthusiastic about other’s success and well being as you are about yourself. So be genuinely interested in other people and their development.

      8)   Have unlimited patience
Always remember that people are irreplaceable. So don’t put a limit on your patience while dealing with them. Once you loose them it can be be difficult to bring them back.

      9)   Always look at the good
Remember no one is perfect , everyone has both good and bad in them . It  depends on us what we look at . Looking at the brighter side will empower you and the other person . Also it will motivate them to change for good.

      10)  Give appreciation
Whenever you get the opportunity to appreciate other’s , go ahead and do that. People feel good when they are appreciated . They feel accepted and worthy .

      11) Show gratitude and respect
There are so many things that we can be thankful about. So don’t forget to show your gratitude, because it matters a lot . And it multiplies the thing you are thankful about. Also show respect to other’s perspective , even if they are wrong according to yours perspective.

      12)  Think Win-Win
Just live above the small thinking of win-loose (for me to win you have to loose), loose-win ( I loose you win) and loose-loose (If I can’t win how can I let you win) . Always think win-win (I am sure that I am going to win and I will help you to do the same). Win-Win thinking will eliminate the feeling of jealousy which destroys relationships .

      13)  Balance is the key
Don’t overdo and at same time don’t under do in relationships . You should know when to step in and when to step out in a relationship . There is a very thin line between being attached and being insensitive, this is the line of balance . When we live our life in balance we can experience harmony.

      14)  Don’t argue
Discussions are good but arguing over small issues breaks relationships.

      15)  Be honest and show integrity
Say what you do and do what you say, this will enable people to trust you. And when trust is the foundation of a relationship, it can go on and on and on . . . . . . . .to eternity .

These are a few keys to have Harmonious Relationships , we hope that you will find them useful and by using them in your life you will be able to to live a happy life.

How to live a valuable and successful life - Steve Jobs

Few words of wisdom from the great visionary Steve Jobs . In this video Steve is asked to give his advise on how to live a valuable life .

How to live a TENSION FREE life

“Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.”

In the present world , tension , stress, worry, anxiety, fear has become very common . Most of the people have excepted them as a part of their daily life and they say that it can not be avoided. But there is a formula to live a tension free life.

This is known as the “ABCD formula”.

‘A’ is for Acceptance :
There are so many things that you can not control but keep on trying to control them and this is the main reason for your tension. For example, you are going for an important meeting  and in the way you face a traffic jam. You now know that you are going to be late . Being tensed will only make the situation worse because it will then affect your meeting and in fact your whole day. So firstly accept the situation so that the mind stops creating negative thoughts , then think of the ideas to get out of the situation and how you can spend this time .You can make important calls to inform other people that you are going to be late also you can prepare yourself for the meeting and you can help the people around to get the road clear. This way you will make the better use of you time then by wasting it by getting tensed.
Similarly there can be many such situations , Boss shouting at you, your son is late to reach home etc. Always remember that “situation will not get better by getting tensed, but by staying calm you can surely do something worthwhile.”

‘B’ is for Bypass:
Many times you will face such situations where there is no need for you to get into it. For example ; if an argument creates tension then why to be a part of that argument. So just bypass such situations without wasting your precious time and energy.

‘C’ is for Cancel :
Identify the cause of your worries and then delete it from your life. For example ; If procrastinating some work creates tension then avoid it.

‘D’ is for Do :
You must do a few things to be able to live a tension free life. Take care of your physical and mental health, exercise, meditate, read good books, sleep well, eat well etc.
Remember Stress is directly proportional to the pressure and inversely proportional to the resilience (inner strength) . So with the increase in the numerator i.e. pressure in today’s world the stress is also increasing . But if we want to bring it down then we have to increase the denominator i.e. resilience (inner strength) to an extent that the numerator i.e. stress becomes almost negligible.

It has been found that most of the physical diseases are psychosomatic i.e. they originates in the mind. So stressed mind affects the whole body in a dangerous way. So why to be stressed when it is such a waste of time and energy.

"Let's realize that we can easily live a tension free life if we make the right choices "

Does God Exist

A Teacher challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?"

A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"
The professor answered, "If God created everything; then God created evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then we can assume that God is evil."
The student became quiet .

Another student raised his hand and said, "May I ask you a question, professor?"
"Of course", replied the professor.
The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?"
The other students snickered at the young man's question.

The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist.
According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."

The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does."
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either.

Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. You cannot measure darkness. Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday.
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist". Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil.

Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

The professor sat down.

The young man's name - Albert Einstein

HOW TO BE FREE FROM EGO (DON'T BE A SPIRITUAL DONKEY !)

Idol of a goddess
Once a sculptor in a village made a beautiful idol of a goddess and thought of selling it at a good price in the city. So he loaded the idol on his donkey and started towards the city. When he was going through the village, the villagers bowed in front of the idol as it looked like a real goddess. Whichever street he crossed, a crowd would bow in front of the idol.
  Thrilled with the newfound respect
But a strange thing happened. The Donkey, which was carrying the idol, thought that he was special and that was the reason why people were bowing to him. He was thrilled with his newfound respect.

Angry people
Soon the sculptor returned after selling the idol. While he was crossing the village, the donkey stopped in the middle of the road, expecting a warm welcome. But nobody paid attention to him. The donkey felt insulted and started braying, so much so, that the villagers drove him away.
Realized the truth
The same mistake, what the donkey did, is what most of us do. When we are on the divine path of self - realization, with God's grace, a glow enters our demeanor and we stand out in the crowd. People respect such persons and often bow in respect. But we should realize that people are bowing not to us but to that glimpse of God whom they realize resides within us. So the credit of this respect goes, solely to God, not to us. If we start taking the credit, we cross the thin line of demarcation and enter into an area of false ego, which God dislikes most.
The basic difference between material and devotional lifestyle is that, in material life the more we progress, the more ego we develop. In a devotional lifestyle, the more we progress, the more ego we shed.

EAGLES IN A STORM

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.
The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.
When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them.
God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.
Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.
